All cinema shootings in Chennai have been called off today to enable the film fraternity to pay their last respects to ace filmmaker Rama Narayanan. The former president of the Producers’ Council and a very reputed filmmaker, who had directed 126 films in his career, Rama Narayanan, passed away at a hospital in Singapore after he failed to respond to a kidney ailment on Sunday, June 22nd, 2014.

His body was flown down to Chennai last night and has been kept at his Mahalingapuram residence for last respects. The funeral procession will start at around 2 pm today from his residence and reach the Kannammapettai Crematorium where the cremation will take place.
