#ChennaiGives – an initiative that asks people to donate unused things from their closet has found many star takers. With Suriya, Jyotika donating 100 household items to the needy, other leading stars including Jayam Ravi, Vikram Prabhu, Shreya Reddy, Soundarya Rajinikanth have joined the bandwagon to support a worthy cause.
How to support the cause
On September 5 (International day of Charity), you can use the Uber app and click the Ubergives option, a driver will come to your house to pick up clothes, toys, school supplies or just about anything you wish to donate and will deliver them directly to a local charity center — all for free! The donor can pose for a selfie with the number of items they donated to propagate the cause in social media.
Madras Round Table 1 and UBER in association with Friends of Chennai have spearheaded #ChennaiGives – a simple social media initiative to drive for a better Chennai. For bulk pick up, you can email firstname.lastname@example.org.
