Ace director  Mani Ratnam confirmed that his film OK Kanmani will be remade by his former associate Shaad Ali who earlier remade the his hit Alaipayuthe. The cast of the film has been finalized as well with Dulquer’s role being reprised by Aditya Roy Kapoor and his counterpart played by Shraddha kapoor who replaced Sonakshi Sinha in the last minute for some unaccounted reason. At a recent event in Mumbai, the director put all speculations to rest by affirming this piece of news and the star cast as well.

The Hindi remake will be jointly produced by Mani Ratnam’s Madras Talkies and another famous Hindi production house. The music will be scored by AR Rahman; a permanent fixture in almost all of the director’s movies. Incidentally, the pair, Aditya Roy Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor were lauded for their chemistry in the hit film Aashiqui- 2.
