It’s been a year since Baahubali- The Beginning released and the film is still raking in money in international markets. The film released last week in China and has debuted at the 9th place in the box office. The film released in a massive 6000 screens across China, a first for a Indian movie. The film released alongside Jackie Chan’s action comedy Skiptrace over a 4-day weekend. The film has since earned 0.63 Million dollars and collections are said be steadily increasing. The Chinese version has been trimmed by 20 minutes and lends itself to a much tauter script.

Baahubali opens big in China

The distribution rights were bagged by the Chinese firm E Star at a whopping price. The firm will most likely also distribute its sequel Baahubali – the Conclusion.

The film stars Prabhas in the title role, Rana Daggubati, Tamannaah, Anushka, Sathyaraj, Ramya Krishnan and Naseer appear in lead roles. The epic war drama is directed by S S Rajamouli. M M Keeravani has composed the music.
