Team Vanamagan with director Vijay and leads JAYAM RAVI and Sayyeshaa, is heading to exotic Vietnam for the next schedule. Speaking to us about the exciting shoot ahead, Jayam Ravi reveals why the film is special for him.
“Vijay and I are like brothers. He always tries a different genre with each film. In this film too, you will find a new theme which has never been tried in India. I have undergone a complete make over for this flick and you are going to see a never seen before character for Indian cinema. That’s why I am so excited about it,” says Ravi.
Vijay’s penchant to try something different is also reflecting in the choice of locales. The unit is taking off for none other than the exotic and enigmatic Vietnam for a song shoot under some breath-taking waterfalls. After the 6 days song and montage shoot there the unit will head to Krabi in Thailand for a song, stunts and montages. The trip is expected to last till the end of December.
Talking about pairing with the Shivaay girl Sayyeshaa, Jayam Ravi says,“Dilip Kumar is her grand uncle and I hear so many interesting stories about him from her. As for Sayyeshaa, I am a big fan of her dance! She knows several styles from Cha cha cha to salsa and is also a great performer. She won’t appear to be a newcomer on screen.”
Though Ravi’s look is under wraps we learn he has changed his hairstyle and lost 15 kilos for this role. The film poster’s tagline says Son of Nature and when we quiz him about that he says, “Well, I can’t reveal the story but the film deals with what’s happening to our society post industrialisation. How are people who don’t use money dealing with life? Who is a better human? Such questions are dealt within the story.”
