Kollywood’s sweetheart Trisha made her debut in Suriya’s Mounam Pesiyathe after a successful stint in modelling. She followed up the success with Saamy, Lesa Lesa and Enakku 20 Unakku 18.
She tried her luck in Telugu also with Varsham opposite Prabhas ana won the Filmfare Award for Best Actress – Telugu. Her subsequent hits Ghilli, Mani Ratnam’s Aayutha Ezhuthu,Thirupaachi and Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana cemented her position as the top heroine in both industries. Her roles in Aadavari Matalaku Ardhalu Verule, Abhiyum Naanum and Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa proved to critics that she can rock in performance oriented roles also.
She tried her luck in with Khatta Meetha but was not successful. After that her career went through a lull with lack lustre performances an Endrendrum Punnagai, Power and Lion.
She bounced back with Gautham Menon’s Yennai Arindhaal and Thoongavanam. After her misstep with Nayaki this year she showed her negative side in Kodi and has an impressive list of upcoming films including Mohini, Sathuranga Vettai, Hey Jude and Garjanai.
