A special memorial has been constructed by the Taminadu Government for Nadigar Thilagam Chevalier Sivaji Ganesan. The memorial was constructed at a cost of 2.80 crores and was to unveiled on October 1, on the day of the legendary actor’s 89th birth anniversary.

Tamilnadu Chief Minister Eddapadi K Palanisamy has issued an order stating that Information and Publicity minister Sellur Raju will unveil the memorial and Fisheries Department Minister Jayakumar will preside over the function.

This has miffed Sivaji Ganesan’s family who feel slighted as both the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister will not be present. The memorial was commissioned by former chief minister Late. J Jayalalithaa. Prabhu has written a letter to the chief minister asking him and other important dignitaries like MLAs, MPs and Ministers to attend.
