Amidst multiple release issues, Vijay’s Mersal finally hit screens yesterday for Diwali. The film has been getting a resounding thumbs up from the festive crowd. The film’s first day collections is one of Vijay’s best, beating Thuppakki and Theri.
The film has also done very well in the US and UK. The film has minted money in Australia and other European countries also. Back home, the film has set an all time record in Kerala and set the record in Chennai city beating Vivegam and Kabali.
With the five day weekend stretching ahead of it the film is expected to be blockbuster.
