Director Sanjay Leela Bansali’s Padmavati has been in trouble since it was launched. The sets were damaged and the cast and crew were threatened. Ahead of the film’s release, right wing extremist groups are creating further trouble and some have even announced a bounty on Deepika Padukone.
The actress’s security was beefed up and she made promotional appearences however the film’s producers have finally deferred the release date and are yet to announce the new release date.
Many Bollywood celebrities have spoken about the issue. In Kollywood actors like Khushbu and Sarath Kumar have spoken in support. Kamal Haasan has also joined the debate and tweeted this message on Twitter yesterday.
