Actress Trisha has been conferred the UNICEF celebrity advocate status. She will work for the rights of children and support worthy causes like childhood malnutrition, child abuse,child marriage and child labour.
She is the first south Indian actress to be selected for the role. Trisha is very poplar among Young adults and children and will use his public image to spread awareness about the various issues plaguing today’s children.
The actress has said “I feel honoured with this recognition. I commit myself to create more awareness on health, education, nutrition and protection of children, especially the adolescents and young people in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. I would support the efforts of the government to make Tamil Nadu malnutrition-free and open defecation free.”
