Summer is a busy season for films. In Tollywood two big releases like Mahesh Babu’s Bharat Ane Nenu and Allu Arjun’s Naa Peru Surya will release in April. Ram Charan’s Rangastalam is scheduled to hit screens on March 30. Joining them will be Shankar’s 2.0 which will be dubbed and released in April. These are just the big releases. Heroes like Ravi Teja, Sai Dharam Tej, Varun Tej, Naga Chatanya all have projects waiting for a release window.

Dashing all their hopes a notice has been sent by the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce to the Telugu Film Producers Council saying that they have unanimously decided to shut down all theatres and film screenings in Telangana from March 1, 2018. All shooting post March 1 will also be stopped.

They are protesting again the monopolization by the Digital Service Providers (DSPs) and non-compliance by DSPs like UFO, QUBE, PXD and Scrabble.
