Needing no introduction to the cine industry, Aishwarya Dhanush, daughter of Rajinikanth, made her directorial debut with the psychological thriller ‘3’ starring Dhanush and Shruti Haasan. Her second project ‘Vai Raja Vai’ starring Gautham Karthik and Priya Anand also did mildly well at the box-office. Subsequently, Aishwarya decided to do a documentary about the stuntmen of the film industry. ‘Cinema Veeran’ – a 50 minute documentary brought out the real passion of these men to the forefront. With voice over by Rajinikanth and music by AR Rahman it was believed to be a must-watch experience for all the cinema lovers.

The next project in discussion is believed to belong to the horror genre and is likely to be produced by husband Dhanush, under their home production Wunderbar Films. Velraj will be wielding the camera and Jayashree of ‘Vanamagan’ fame has been roped in as art director. More details of the technical crew and cast details are expected soon.

The director also has plans of making a biopic on Mariyappan Thangavelu, the Paralympic high jumper from Salem district of Tamil Nadu, who won a gold medal for India in the 2016 Summer Paralympic games held in Rio de Janeiro.
