With the ongoing TFPC strike over the rates charged by Digital Service Providers (DSPs), close to 37 movies are held up for release. This paved way for rumours about the delay in release of Rajinikanth’s ‘Kaala’ which was scheduled to release on April 27th. Since it was decided that the movies will be released based on the order of their censor dates, it was speculated that, Lyca Productions, would release their Sai Pallavi, Naga Shourya starrer ‘Karu’ ahead of ‘Kaala’ since the movie cleared the censor formalities much earlier.

All the speculations were dismissed after Lyca Productions took to Twitter to confirm that they have not made any change in dates and ‘Kaala’ will be released as announced earlier. The news was announced much to the relief of the superstar’s fans!
