After making an impeccable performance in ‘Peranmai’, ‘Aravaan’, ‘Paradesi’ and the recent Rajinikanth blockbuster ‘Kabali’, Sai Dhanshika’s Tamil short film ‘Sinam’ directed by Anandmurthy, with music by G.V Prakash, won eight awards at the Calcutta International Cult Film Festival (CICFF). Subsequently, her performance as a talented blind dancer, in the bilingual romantic drama ‘Solo’ alongside Malayalam star Dulquer Salmaan, earned her huge appreciation.
The bold actress will be making her Tollywood entry with a straight female centric movie titled ‘Mela’. She essays a dual dimensional role in the bilingual horror thriller to be made in Tamil and Telugu. It is rumoured that Surya Tej will be seen in the lead, and actors Aali, Bharat Reddy, Munishkanth, Jangiri Madhumitha are also part of the film.
The sporty actress who has undergone self-defence courses always prefers to do her action stunts and scenes without a body double. ‘Mela’ being no different, the actress took up the challenging climax stunt scenes and has accomplished them.
