Well known for his on screen portrayal of spontaneous comedy, singer, dancer, actor Sivakarthikeyan has taken up another role in the cine industry. The actor has opened his home banner production company ‘Sivakarthikeyan Production’. The company has already started on their maiden venture and are progressing in brisk pace with a women cricket based theme.
The yet-to-be-titled movie will also mark the directorial debut of Arunraja Kamaraj, a singer, lyricist, and actor known for his works as lyricist in films such as ‘Theri’, ‘Pencil’, ‘Kabali’ and ‘Jigarthanda’. He debuted as an actor in ‘Raja Rani’ as Arya’s friend Udumbe.
The team has successfully wrapped up the first schedule of the film that documents the life of an aspiring woman cricketer, who hails from a middle-class family. The film stars Aishwarya Rajesh in the lead, and Sathyaraj playing the role of a doting father. The cast also includes Ilavarasu, Rama, and Darshan in important roles. Apparently the second schedule is expected to be more challenging as it involves shooting the actual cricket portions for the film.
