Actor Dhanush had teamed up again with Director Balaji Mohon for ‘Maari 2’, a sequel to the 2015 gangster-comedy, ‘Maari’. The team had shot nearly 40% of the film but had to stop abruptly due to the Tamil Film Producers Council’s call for a complete shutdown of Kollywood. Reports suggest that the team had begun shooting yesterday and that the makers were planning to shoot scenes with Dhanush and Sai Pallavi at Binny’s Mills.
Malayalam Actor Tovino Thomas plays the main antagonist while actors Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Krishna and Robo Shankar play supporting roles. Little maestro, Yuvan Shankar Raja cranking out the film’s music has reportedly composed a song to be crooned by his father, maestro Ilaiyaraaja. Produced by Dhanush’s Wunderbar Films, the film has cinematography by Om Prakash.
