Superstar Rajinikanth’s anticipated film has received ‘U/A’ certificate from the censor board, Earlier rumours abounded that the film received U/A certificate and reportedly 14 cuts, while there has been no official confirmation on the latter, The film has received U/A certificate.

The trilingual film(Tamil, Telugu and Hindi) is the superstar’s second film under director Pa. Ranjith, his first being, ‘Kabali’, also a gangster film, that took the world by the storm. The film is centred around, ‘Karikaalan’ a slum lord turned gangster.

Earlier, the film trailer released with Nane Patekar in white, the antagonist while Karikaalan, Rajini wears black, further intensifying the contrast, A politician try to ‘clean’ the country and a slumlord who ‘protects’.

Produced by Dhanush’s ‘Wunderbar Films Pvt Ltd.’, The film stars Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi, actor-director Samudrakani, Eswari Rao and a host of others with veteran actor Nana Patekar as the antagonist in white.
