The much-awaited Rajinikanth’s ‘Kaala’ was set to hit theatres on April 27 but due to the ongoing strike by the TFPC, the film is reportedly getting pushed to June 15, Clashing with Salman Khan’s ‘Race 3’. Both the films are one of the most anticipated movies of the year.
However, there has been no official confirmation on it yet. ‘Kaala’ is the superstar’s second outing with director Pa. Ranjith, his first is the megahit ‘Kaabali’ a gangster film set in Malaysia, While ‘Kaala’ also has hints of gangster tone based in Dharavi, Mumbai.
The film also stars Huma Qureshi, Anjali Patil and Samuthirakani in pivotal roles. Nana Patekar plays a white wearing politician aiming to ‘clean’ streets the antagonist while Superstar is the black wearing slum lord who is considered the ‘protector’.
While ‘Race 3’ also stars also stars Jacqueline, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Saqib Saleem and Daisy Shah, the film is a third instalment of the Race series.
