Dhanush’s Hollywood debut in Ken Scoot’s ‘The Extraordinary Journey of The Fakhir’ has been making waves. The trailer for the film was released recently and the response from the fans have been good.
Based on a novel of the same name, The film has an ensemble cast, with Oscar-nominees Bérénice Bejo (The Artist) and Barkhad Abdi (Captain Phillips). The film also stars Erin Moriarty (of Netflix’s Jessica Jones fame) and Abel Jafri (Timbuktu) and our very own award-winning actress Seema Biswas (Bandit Queen) playing a pivotal role in the film. ‘The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir’ has cinematography by Vincent Mathias and was shot in India, Italy, France, England and Libya.
The film will release on May 30th and follows the life of ‘Ajatashatru Lavash Patel’, a young Fakir, who after his mother’s death leaves India for France to track down the father he never knew and the chaos that ensues after. The Comedy-Adventure-Drama is jointly produced by Little Red Car Films, Brio Films, Vamonos Films, M! Capital Ventures, Impact Films, Aurora Global Media Capital, Scope Pictures, TF1 Studio and Aleph Motion Pictures.
