During the press meet held yesterday, director Venkat Prabhu said that though there is no violence, bloodshed or sleazy scenes in Biriyani, the movie has been awarded with a UA certificate mainly because of the pub and party scenes.

The director added that the makers have approached the revising committee to get a clean U certificate and there are high chances of the film being cleared with a clean chit. Biriyani is slated to hit the screens on December 20th, 2013 and this film happens to be Yuvan Shankar Raja’s 100th movie album. The movie stars Karthi and Hansika as the lead pair with Premji Amaren as the comedian.
