Nivin Pauly is busy with his straight Tamil movie with director Gautham Ramachandran. The film is the Tamil remake of Kannada hit Ulidavaru Kandanthe. The film has been predominantly shot in Tamilnadu’s coastal regions and in Tuticorin. Cinematographer Natty aka Nataraj plays a very important role in the film. The untitled film was earlier rumored to be titled Santa Maria. It is now learnt that the film’s makers are thinking about using K. Balachander’s 1977 film, Avargal as the title. The film starred Kamal Haasan and Superstar Rajinikanth in lead roles.
Official confirmation is awaited. Nivin Pauly is also shooting for Siddhartha Siva’s Sakhavu with Aishwarya Rajesh and home production Njandukalude Nattil Oridavela, which is directed by Althaf Salim.
