Lyca Productions is bankrolling Shankar’s 2.0 with a budget of 400 crores. The film is one of the costliest films made and will boast of never before seen special effects and CGI.
The film has been in production for more than a year now and was scheduled to release on January 25 for Republic Day. However there have been delays and the film’s release has been pushed to April. The production house has released a formal announcement regarding the same.

The exact date is yet to be announced. Meanwhile Akshay Kumar’s Hindi film Padman will hit screens on January 26.
